Protection Plus Online Agreement Center Policies
Distributor: The Protection Plus Extended Service Agreement "ESA" Program is available ONLY to approved Protection Plus Dealers. Dealers must forward a completed Protection Plus Contractor Enrollment Form to Protection Plus to become approved Protection Plus Dealer.
Products: Protection Plus ESA's are available ONLY on products manufactured by Rheem Manufacturing Sales, Inc. Approved combinations are defined as those listed in the Manufacturer's Specification Data Sheets.
Product Age Limitations: Protection Plus ESAs can be sold within the first twenty-four (24) months from the date of installation on product that conforms to the above specifications. Product installed over one (1) year, less than two (2) years must be inspected at customer's expense, by an approved Protection Plus Dealer to be eligible for a Protection Plus ESA.
Equipment installed over one (1) year, less than two (2) year "option" is NOT available in Canada or on Commercial Equipment. See the Protection Plus Program Guide for details and limitations.
How to place your order with Protection Plus:
- Dealers place their orders with their Distributor.
- The Distributor has two methods to purchase the Protection Plus ESA.
- The Distributor can place their orders online with a unique Username and Password under the Distributor link at: www.protectionplusonline.com.
- Or, Distributors fax their purchase orders to Protection Plus at: 630-986-8633 (514-987-5387 in Quebec); including: bill to, ship to, contact, item code, description, cost, (shipping & handling will be added to the order).
- There are NO minimums per order.
- All orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt and shipped UPS Ground unless otherwise requested (with the appropriate additional charges).
Processing, Shipping & Handling Rates: Protection Plus ESA's can be ordered online through our "shopping cart" feature. The shopping cart can be found after logging into the distributor section of the Protection Plus website at: www.protectionpluonline.com. Orders can also be faxed to: 630-986-8633 (514-987-5387 in Quebec). All orders will be processed and shipped within 48 hours of receipt. All Orders are shipped UPS Ground. We ship to all states, including Hawaii and Canada. Hawaii will be shipped UPS Second Day. Air service delivery time is not guaranteed. Protection Plus will not be held responsible for any delays by freight carrier or processing delays. If you place more than one order a day, you may receive the orders on different days due to the time of day in which the orders are received. All shipping and handling charges will be billed accordingly. Shipping rates are weight-based when using UPS. The UPS rates are available at UPS's website: www.ups.com. Shipping is calculated by cross-referencing the UPS chart with the weight and destination of each order received. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound. Protection Plus makes every effort to process all orders in a timely fashion but we cannot be held responsible for delays in processing of orders received either by fax or mail. Phone orders will not be accepted.
Shipping to a Different Address: During Checkout on the website, you can add or select another shipping address other than your registered address. Shipping charges may change due to different postal code.
Confirmation of an Order: You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. You will receive a second email when your order has been shipped. (You will receive more than one confirmation of receipt email and shipment confirmation email if more than one order is received per day.) Please save these email confirmations for your records.
Tracking Orders: Orders can be tracked if UPS is being used for shipping. Scheduled for delivery times are using UPS Ground Time-in-Transit Map found at www.ups.com. Transit days are based on the 5-digit origin (30071) Postal Code entered. At anytime you may check the status of you order as well as details of you past online orders, by logging onto the Protection Plus Online Agreement Center, located at www.protectionplusonline.com, and clicking on the Account Management link in the Shopping Cart section. Or, you may contact our Shipping Department at 877-276-4294.
Returns & Reprints:Protection Plus ESA’s can be returned to your Distributor within one year from the original date of purchase. If agreement is returned within thirty (30) days of the purchase date there will be a ten dollar ($10) Minimum return charge for each agreement. If the agreement is returned after thirty (30) days and up to one (1) year from date of purchase there will be a twenty percent (20%) or ten dollar ($10) return charge, whichever is greater. Your Distributor will facilitate all returns and reprints.
Lost: If the ESA’s are lost and need reprinting ask your Distributor to assist or you may forward an explanation on your company letterhead including name, address, city, state, zip code, contact person, ESA numbers and the item codes lost via mail to Protection Plus Administration, fax to: 630-325-7126 or e-mail to: proplus@equiguard.com.
Cancellations: The ESA’s may be cancelled by the Purchaser, for any reason, by mailing or delivering to Protection Plus, at the mailing address specified. The ESA’s may be canceled by Protection Plus, by mailing or delivering to the Purchaser written notice of cancellation, for any of the following reasons: (a) non-payment of the ESA’s price; (b) fraud or material misrepresentation; (c) violation or breach of any material terms or conditions of the ESA’s. In the event of cancellation by the Purchaser or Protection Plus, Protection Plus agrees to promptly credit through Distribution (Protection Plus to Distributor to Dealer to End User). If the Purchaser requests cancellation within thirty (30) days USA (ten (10) days Canada) after the ESA’s application date, a full refund of the purchase price will be given. If cancellation is after the first thirty (30) days USA (ten (10) days Canada) any unearned portion of the ESA’s selling price to the Purchaser on a pro rate basis calculated on time remaining, less the cancellation fee which will be for USA; twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or your state requirement and for Canada; ten percent (10%) of the purchase price of this agreement or twenty-five dollars ($25.00) whichever is less and less the value of any services or claims that have been approved or paid.
