File a Claim

We understand that your time is valuable, and are constantly refining the extended service agreement claims process in order to serve you better.

The following is a checklist of things you can check prior to calling Protection Plus for service. If neither the maintenance tips nor the troubleshooting checklist below corrects the problem, you will need to contact your local installing Dealer or Protection Plus for service.

  • Check to see that electrical disconnect switches are ON.
  • Make sure the thermostat temperature selector is properly set.
  • The thermostat system switch should be in the on position.
  • Replace any blown fuses or reset "tripped" circuit breakers.
  • Make sure unit access panels are in place.
  • Clean or replace air filter.
