  • Sterling Plan: Second through fifth and sixth through tenth year for parts ONLY.

With Protection Plus you can relax and enjoy the comfort provided by your Rheem, Ruud or WeatherKing comfort solutions, instead of worrying about the cost of unexpected repairs.

Value Added Service to Homeowner.

  • Offers peace of mind because unplanned repair bills will be a thing of the past for the term of the agreement.
  • Product performance is maintained at the highest possible level by manufacturer authorized servicing dealers.
  • Hedge against inflation by lowering future service costs by 60% or more.

Protection Plus plans are only sold by authorized Protection Plus dealers directly to homeowners purchasing eligible Rheem, Ruud or WeatherKing products. Protection Plus will administer all contracts and claims with the product owner and authorized Protection Plus dealers.

Product Age Limitations: Protection Plus plans can be bought within the first twenty-four (24) months from the date of installation on product that conforms to the manufacturers product specifications. Product installed over one (1) year, less than two (2) years must be inspected at customer's expense, by an approved Protection Plus Dealer to be eligible for a Protection Plus plan.
IMPORTANT: Equipment installed over one (1) year, less than two (2) year "option" is NOT available in Canada or on Commercial Equipment. In Canada and on Commercial Equipment the customer can purchase a Protection Plus plan with in the first twelve (12) months.

Protection Plus is an extended service plan backed by the financial strength of an “A” rated insurance company.

Note: Protection Plus is not a Maintenance Agreement. Under Protection Plus, standard product maintenance is a requirement to keep the agreement in force. The customer must have the equipment serviced as recommended by the manufacturer. The customer must keep maintenance records validated by the servicing facility, or keep receipts and work orders showing dates and service performed. If the customer performs the maintenance, they must keep receipts sufficient to document service. A product failure caused by the lack of basic maintenance (changing filters, lubrication, check freon, etc.) is not covered under the terms of the agreement. By packaging the two products together (Extended Service Agreement and Maintenance), all maintenance requirements are fulfilled and the customer need never worry about problems arising or the expense of rectifying them.

We strongly recommend that you maintain your heating/cooling system in accordance with the manufacturer's printed instructions. Nothing could be better for your new heating/cooling system than having it cleaned and tuned-up before each heating and cooling season by an authorized manufacturer dealer.

Preventative maintenance is to your heating/cooling system what oil changes are to your car. Not only will it help your system run better and last longer, but you could also void your agreement if the system is not maintained properly. A lot of companies offer prepaid maintenance plans that cost less than what you would spend for individual tune-ups. Look for someone that has a good program and is factory authorized. Preventative maintenance is well worth the investment!!
